Carolina Public Press is working with the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, MomsRising and other community partners to hold a forum on hunger at the Virginia Williamson Event Center at Brunswick Community College.
The Newsmakers Forum will feature five panelists working in the community around the issue of hunger. We’ll discuss solutions already being used to address the problem in the community, as well as current challenges and how they may be addressed. We’ll also take a look at what the staff at Carolina Public Press uncovered in their year-long series, Faces of Hunger.
Forum: 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Breakout Session on Child Hunger: 2:15 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.
Breakout Session on Senior Hunger: 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
