Press release from the Association of Fundraising Professionals Western North Carolina Chapter, shared Aug. 21:

Deadline for nominations is Aug. 31

The Association of Fundraising Professionals Western North Carolina Chapter will celebrate National Philanthropy Day on Thursday, Nov. 15, to honor giving, givers and the causes they impact in WNC.

Approximately 400 individuals attend this luncheon annually to recognize outstanding individuals, corporations, foundations and professionals who exhibit excellence in promoting philanthropy. All previous winners, ranging over the event’s 20-year history, are invited to attend and celebrate the current recipients—the result being a true “who’s who” of philanthropy in WNC.

The deadline for nominations is on Friday, August 31, 2012, at 5:00 p.m. By taking a moment to nominate someone special who has made a difference in our region, you will provide an opportunity for recognition that the nominee may remember for a lifetime.
