Nominations are due by June 3 for the 24th annual Housing North Carolina Awards. The awards celebrate the best affordable housing in the state – housing that improves the lives of people, sparks economic growth in its community and makes surrounding neighborhoods even better. You can nominate your own work or an outstanding affordable housing development by another sponsor.

This year’s process is the easiest yet! Fill out the streamlined application and submit it by the deadline. If your nomination is chosen as a finalist, you or the nominee will be contacted to provide additional information and photos for judging.

Recognition will be given in the following categories: homeownership developments, rental apartments and supportive housing for people with special needs. Winners will be showcased at a special luncheon during the 2013 North Carolina Affordable Housing Conference to be held on Sept. 10 and 11 in Raleigh.

For more information, go to Housing North Carolina Awards or call Connie Helmlinger at (919) 877-5607.
