ASHEVILLE — More than 100 Western North Carolina residents joined Carolina Public Press on March 16-17 for events celebrating in-depth and investigative reporting that featured Stefanie Ilgenfritz, the health and science bureau chief at The Wall Street Journal.
Ilgenfritz helped lead the team of Journal staff that won a 2015 Pulitzer Prize for Investigative Journalism, honoring the news organization’s reporting on the motivations and practices of their health-care providers. You may view the “Medicare Unmasked” series here.
