Gov. Bev Perdue announced that Gourmet Group LLC will acquire the assets of Geppetto Kitchens and expand the manufacturing capacity of the plant. The project, which is expected to create 136 jobs and result in more than $2.3 million in investments by the company in the next three years, was made possible in part by a $270,000 grant from the One North Carolina Fund.
